The light changed from gold to pink and mauve, bathing the dome in such a golden light it was breathtaking. This painting took several days and on the last evening it rained and I painted it from my car. The crevices in Lembert Dome were running with water creating waterfalls and it was as though the Dome were crying as we were leaving.
